About

Toronto Dark Arts Market is a monthly marketplace dedicated to all things weird and wonderful. Our artisan markets feature artists, artisans, musicians, writers, and makers of alternative goodness, while our vintage markets focus on sellers of vintage, thrift, and collectibles with a dark or alternative theme.

Toronto Dark Arts Market is run by Sheryl Kirby. Involved in Toronto’s Goth and alternative scene since the late 1980s, Sheryl has over twenty-five years of experience in concert and event production including Convergence 4, Hallowmas, and Toronto Indie Arts Market. She is also an author, artist, and artisan herself, and has vast experience with artisan markets both as a producer and a vendor.

Ground Control (1279 Queen Street West) is a Bowie-inspired lounge and dance club created by DJ Lazarus. This gorgeous space is fully accessible, has an ATM on site, and boasts both a lounge area and a large space for live performances and dance nights. The 501 Queen streetcar stops less than a block away in both directions (Queen West at Brock); the nearest major intersection is Queen and Dufferin. Closest parking is a block west in the Green P lot at 1325 Queen Street West.
